Lewis Brown returns to the podium while Sam Weller extends his championship lead

Mintex-sponsored Lewis Brown returned to the Quaife MINI Challenge podium at Snetterton, finishing third in race one.

After qualifying third, Brown put in a measured performance in the first of the weekend’s three races to deliver his first podium finish of the year, finishing third behind his Graves Motorsport teammate Alex Denning, and Sam Weller.

Lewis Brown, MINI Challenge racing driver and Mintex brand ambassador, said: “I’m thrilled to be back up on the podium. It’s so good to get some silverware again! It’s been a long time coming – especially as we’ve shown strong pace this season at so many races, but then the luck hasn’t fallen our way. Hopefully we can finish the season off with some more of these.”

Brown unfortunately suffered race ending contact in race two but having started from 26th in race three, Brown carved his way through the order and delivered a solid 12th place – making up more places than any other driver on the grid.

TMD Friction sponsors rising racing star Lewis Brown through its renowned Mintex brand, with the company providing its brake pads as the specification part across all cars on the grid.

The Quaife MINI Challenge resumes at the legendary Silverstone circuit with rounds 15, 16 and 17 taking place from 23rd – 25th September.
